The business of custom fashion design is very labour intensive. But it is also very rewarding. One of my objectives for the past while has to increase efficiency. So that in this time of next day delivery, I can get your orders to you as quickly as possible. I’m delighted that this is finally happening. In the video below, I will give you a brief tour around my main work space. Showing you how I can add more of what I like to call “Hot Stock” within arms reach while the “Cold Stock”, the fabric I only need to access once every few weeks is safely and securely stored in a larger warehouse. By storing more in my main work space and through the new system that I have implemented for arranging the various machines and equipment that I use every day, I have massively reduced the time spend during jobs and I have reduced the time it takes to put my hand on fabrics that I need every day.
